Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday September 13, 2010 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with entombment to follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Father Scott Winchel will officiate. A rosary will be said for the family at 6:00 p.m. Sunday with a visitation following the rosary at 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Turnage was born April 25,,1955 in Starke, FL son of the late Harry Donald Turnage and Ruth Layton of Columbus, GA. He was also preceded in death by his step-father Charles Layton and his brother, Thomas A. Turnage. He was the service department foreman with Signs Inc. with 28 years of faithful service.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Turnage of Columbus, his children, Timothy Turnage and his wife Carina of Fitzgerald, GA, Georgia Turnage Taylor and her husband Tony of Salem, AL, Edmond Turnage and his wife, Elizabeth of Columbus, GA, his mother, Ruth Layton of Columbus, GA, sisters Toni and her husband Walt Medford of Gainesville, FL, Neva and her husband Darsey Stewart, Jr. of Ashford, AL, grandchildren, Kyle Turnage, Megan Finley, Samantha Turnage, Jennifer Turnage, nephew, Darsey “Trey” Stewart III of Ashford, AL, niece, Katherine Stewart of Ashford, AL
