Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God where she played piano faithfully for many years.
Born in Columbus to Allie W. and Luverne B. Hughes, Glenda grew up locally and graduated from Jordan High School. She spent time working as a secretary in area churches and law firms, but eventually chose to dedicate her time completely to her family, children and ultimately, grandchildren. Glenda’s greatest love was her family, and her five grandsons were proud to call her “GaGa”.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Ron; two sons, Chris Trawick (Joy) and Tim Trawick (Karmen); five grandsons, Joshua Trawick (Mikenna), Timbo Trawick, Brad Trawick (Hannah), Cason Trawick and Andrew Trawick; and one brother, Danny Hughes (Debbie).
The family invites you to join them for a homegoing service. The service will be held Saturday, March 4 at 11am at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907, with Rev. Michael A. McBride officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Columbus Hospice of Columbus, GA.
