She had a full life and a rich spiritual heritage and she certainly leaves behind an outstanding name. Proverbs 20:1
Glady Green was born April 17, 1934 in Union Springs, Alabama to the parentage of the late legends Mr. Henry and Ms. Carrie Shell, both business pioneers in Columbus, Georgia.
Gladys was truly a beautiful and phenomenal woman and faithful Jehovah’s Witness. Gladys loved, fed and clothed anybody who need it. She was an awesome beautician for over 50 years. She was owner of “Gladys Beauty Box” and “Eat Well Café”, a true entrepreneur, and truly a loving and giving lady.
As a symbol of her dedication to Jehovah as a Kingdom Proclaimer, she attended and completed Pioneer Service School in July 23-August 3, 2012. For those who knew her, the name “G.G.” will bring to mind not only her accomplishments but, also her qualities. We will think of her ready smile, filled with joy and an ever-youthful love of laughter, her sense of humor and above all her heartfelt love for Jehovah, his inspired word and her family.
“G.G.” leaves the cherish her memory her devoted and loving daughter, Rosalind Range, Atlanta, Ga., brother, Otis Walton (Lashonn) of California; brother Harold Searcy (Shirley) of Georgia; great grandson Devonte Starr, Sister-in-law, Martha Jean Pruiet, of Union Springs, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to honor Gladys’ life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2742 N Lumpkin Road, Columbus, Georgia 31903.
