Donna and Family:  Jo Ann and I were shocked to find out from you about Gary's passing.  For you, Donna, to lose Gary and your sister Mary at nearly the same time has to be an unbelievable shock for you.  You and Gary were very close to us during your time in Knoxville, TN and we have always cherished those few years.  Add that to my many years of playing sports with and against Gary at Isaac Litton and UT/Vandy remain special for me. I will always hold Gary as one of my best friends! Our little town has lost a strong pillar and we also sorrowfully realize that Donna's life and involvement with us is now changed.

Gary and I were friends, starting almost 70 years ago:  high schools competitors, Vandy team mates and fraternity brothers, IBM employees (he helped me join IBM) and later retirement years.  A great loss for all that had the pleasure of knowing him.  He was one of the finest people that I will ever know and I will miss him for the rest of my life.

I have so many great memories of visiting the Page family when we went to visit relatives in Talbotton. Gary was a wonderful man. Love and hugs to all of you during this tough time.

So sorry for the loss of Mr. Page and please know that  y'all are in our prayers. We will miss him so much,. Miss Donna if you ever need us for anything please let us know. We love you. Mike and Loretta O 'Bright.

I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. He always had such a kind heart and was truly a special, encouraging individual. My heart is with Miss Donna and his beautiful girls.

I have treasured Gary as a friend and business colleague since joining IBM 55 years ago.  He taught me so very much.  We will miss him greatly.  May God receive his loyal servant with warmth and open arms.

Gary was a wonderful friend and a tremendous asset to Talbotton. He will be sorely missed.My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Gary was one of my childhood heroes. Along with Mickey Mantle. My dad and I went to a lot of the Vandy baseball games to watch Gary play. In fact, I was at the last game of the season when he messed up his knee. I helped him get dressed afterwards. I was thinking about coming to the memorial service, but due to possible weather conditions, guess we better stay close to home..
