Gary P. McDonald Sr.

Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 3 p.m. with Reverend James Strickland and Reverend Bob Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.

Mr. McDonald, son of the late Paul and Alice McDonald, was born September 7, 1949. He formerly owned and operated M& M Deer Processing and also Creative Wood Designs. Mr. McDonald also had a long and faithful career of 42 years as a meat cutter, retiring from Piggly Wiggly in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda McDonald; a brother, Thomas Wayne McDonald; and also a sister, Pauline Strickland. Mr. McDonald is survived by four sons, Ty Rutan and his wife Susanne, Keith McDonald, Paul McDonald, and Gary McDonald, all of Columbus; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
