Frances Jean Harris

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harris was born in Delight, AR, on July 7, 1933 to the late Rance Malone and Myrtle McCowen Malone. She was a resident of Columbus for many years and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She also loved gardening at home and at her second home in Okolona, AR.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her loving husband of 63 years SFC Bobby Dee Harris (USA, Ret) of Columbus, GA. two sons, Chief Master Sergeant Michael Harris (USAF, Ret) of Yorktown, VA, and Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth Harris (USA, Ret) and wife Aylin of Midland, GA and her four grandchildren, Kathryn R. Harris, Anna C. Harris, Rebecca J. Harris and Emily G. Harris of Yorktown, VA.
