Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. P. Shane Green, Dr. Edwin Cooper, and Reverend John Fugh, Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Greene was born on October 8, 1928 in Lafayette, Alabama, daughter of the late Carl Schuessler and May Wood Schuessler. She moved back to Columbus from Decatur, Georgia in 1988 and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was the wife of the late Fred N. Greene, Jr. of Columbus.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary G. and Gary Gilmore of Grayson, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kay Greene of Greensboro, Georgia; four grandchildren, Leslie G. and Eric Mathis, David and Veronica Greene, Greg and Abbe Gilmore, and Rob and Lisa Gilmore; and 9 great-grandchildren, Mason and Leila Mathis, Jordan, Barrett, Brooks and Taylor Greene, Ben Gilmore, and Colton and Lilah Gilmore.
