Frances C. Bray

Frances C. Bray, 78, wife of the late SFC (R) Mailon S. Bray passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at home after a long battle with Alzheimer. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery on Friday, November 14, 2014, 11 a.m. with Reverend Eric Sizemore and Reverend Jim Hilderbrand officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. The family will be receiving friends at St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 4-6 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, SFC (R) Mailon S. Bray, two daughters, Kimberly Rochelle Bray and Jacquelyn Michelle Bray; one son, Curtis Mauldin Bray. Mrs. Bray is survived by seven children, Miriam Bray of Columbus, Warren Bray of Columbus, David Bray and his wife Tryla of Smiths Station, Alabama, Lawrence Bray of Columbus, Kelvin Bray of Columbus, Gwendolyn Joy Bray Shehane and her husband Jerald of Columbus, and Marc Bray and his wife Kimberly of Harvest, Alabama; eight grandchildren, James Bray, Stephanie Bray, Noelle Horne, Jason Bryant, Nicholas Bray, Tony Shehane, Nikki Shehane, and Joshua Bray.

Mrs. Bray was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed his music to the end. She was devoted to caring for her family and children every waking moment of her life.
