Faye was born April 24, 1932 in Butler, Georgia to Era Pilkinton Barrow and Olin Scrimpshire Barrow. Faye was a true southern lady. Her grace and the way she carried herself spoke volumes about her character. She especially enjoyed ministering to elderly friends in and out of the nursing home. Faye was head of the bookkeeping department at Carmike Cinema when she retired after 29 years of service . She loved her job and the people she worked with, but most of all she loved her family. Faye taught her girls by example to be kind and forgiving. She was a wonderful grandmother that enjoyed entertaining her grandchildren and was always ready for a good joke. Faye's legacy is one that her mother passed on to her as she wrote in her Bible, "I leave this old book as the best heritage I can give you. Study it carefully and you will find the way to peace, righteousness, and happiness as I have done."
Faye was preceded in death by son-in-law, Billy M. Fletcher; father, Olin Scimpshire Barrow; mother, Era Pilkinton Barrow; sister, Jeroline Barrow Graves; and brothers, Harold Olin Barrow and Donnie Barrow. She is survived by daughters, Janice F. Fletcher and Linda F. Hendrick (Thom); six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and many friends to cherish her memory.
