Ellen Rebecca "Becky" Seckinger

Ellen Rebecca “Becky” Seckinger, age 70, passed away on April 12, 2011 at her residence. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Father Gerard Schreck officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus. A rosary will be said on Friday evening at the funeral home at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Seckinger was born on August 27, 1940 to the late James and Ellie Jenkins in Albany, Georgia. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church as well as the Columbus Pilot Club, for many years. She loved to travel and see new places. She was also an accomplished seamstress. Mrs. Seckinger never met a person she didn’t like and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband, George Seckinger of Columbus; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Chuck Hunter of Eufaula, AL and Alison and David Haas of Columbus; four grandchildren, Sarah Hunter, James Hunter, Nathan Livesey and Anthony Livesey; as well as a brother, Lawrence Jenkins of Amelia Island, FL.
