Elizabeth Lee (Ammons) Stubbs, age 60, of Columbus, Georgia, sunset occurred on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth’s sunrise was January 24, 1960 in Columbus, Georgia to Queen Elizabeth Money Ammons and Henry Elza Ammons.
Elizabeth was a life-long resident of Columbus. During High School she met and married the love of her life, Jimmy Stubbs. Following their marriage, as faithful servants of The Kingdom of God, they were called into the Ministry. Elizabeth was by her husband’s side, ministering in song the compassion and love of Christ to all for forty-three years. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and ministering to others, her family, people (especially children), nurturing animals, gardening, photography, singing, entertaining, cooking, sunsets and sunrises, rainbows, bible study and prayer. She taught her family by example to be selfless, giving, love unconditionally, and accept life as it comes, to live by the spirit, understanding, and to be full of grace and mercy.
Elizabeth enjoyed having a fun time. She loved to laugh at her husband, her girls, the grandchildren, watching the animals, clean comedy, jokes and friends. She will be remembered as a Godly light leading others toward love and truth. Having an open heart and open door to anyone or child in need. A blessed wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Elizabeth’s father Henry Elza Ammons and mother Queen Elizabeth Money Ammons; brothers Jerry Ammons, Joe Ammons and Tony Ammons preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jimmy Clay Stubbs; daughter, Alisha Stubbs Wilson (Tory); and daughter, Miranda Stubbs Neville (Jeremy); brother, Terry Ammons (Debbie) and sister, Wanna Ammons Reinhart (Bill); grandchildren, Tanner, Tucker and Chandler Neville; children by grace, Mark Stubbs (Martha and children Ryan and Slade), Jennifer and Tina Parker, James “Bubba” Tate, Devin and Tori Eiland, Courtney Dykes and her children ( Kinsley, Kolby and Brantley) Kevin Chevalier; nieces and nephews, Jamie Daniels, Wendy Stocker, Kim Ammons, Tracey Eiland, Tara Hudson, Jerry Ammons, Kristi Marano, Blake Rienhart and Amber Castellow; other family members and a host of friends.
