Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia. Eddie’s nephew, Pastor Chris Jones of Lake City, Florida will officiate.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2016 from 6-8 pm, in the St. Elmo room of Striffler-Hamby.
Mrs. Hough was born September 6, 1931 in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Columbia High School in Lake City, Florida, and then moved to Columbus, Georgia where she met her husband John W. Hough. They married on December 1, 1950 and were married for 54 years.
Eddie was a home maker and a volunteer at the Medical Center gift shop. She and her husband were active members of Wynnton United Methodist Church. Two things that were evident in her life were her love of the Lord and the love for her family.
Eddie is survived by her two children, Carole (Eric) Sears of Columbus, GA, and Tommy (Carmen) Hough of Jonesboro, GA. She had four grandchildren, Erica (Matt) Moncus, Scott (Jodi) Sears, Brad (Stephanie) Hough, and Brittany (Joe) Voltner. She was blessed to have nine great-grandchildren, Isabella, Trey, Kylie, Braden, Madison, Vera, Will, James, and Drew. Eddie is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam and Madeline Till of Rocking Ham, N.C. and many nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
