Donna Jones, 78 of Cusseta, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 under the care of Chattahoochee Hospice. A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus GA, followed by a committal in Parkhill Cemetery. To assure the safety of all who attend please practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
Donna was born on November 15, 1942 to the late Estiel Edward Hill and Nena Their Hill. She attended Elizabethtown High School in Kentucky and went on to Southern Union Community College where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology. Donna was married to Lamar Jones on December 6, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia together they raised two sons and a daughter. Donna served as a Den Mother with the Boy Scouts of America for her sons Scout Troop. If she wasn’t in the Beauty Shop making her clients beautiful she was beautifying her yard with flowers. Donna worked hard and loved her family unconditionally. She taught her family good work ethics, to care for others and love large. She will be forever missed by all who knew her and especially loved her. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Estiel Edward Hill and Nena Their Hill.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lamar Jones; two sons: Curtis (Allison) Jones, DeWayne (Kelli) Jones; daughter, Reba LaNay (D’Wayne) Armstrong; grandchildren: Taylor (Brianna) Jones, Avery (Audrey) Jones, Ashlee Baugh, Breanna Baugh, Stetson (Allison) Jones, Marleigh (Seth) Hortman, Dylan Jones, Ricki (Ashton) Bolden, Dakoda Baugh and Kenzie Jones; great-grandchildren: Reid Bolden, Alizabeth Bolden, and Jameson Jones; family close friends: Brian Smedley, Amy Ratliff, and Lacie Ratliff.
