Doneta Kay Odom, 78, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 3PM with a visitation starting at 2PM. Pastor Norman Dunlap will be officiating. Doneta will be laid to rest at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.
Doneta was born on September 9, 1943 in Orleans, Indiana to the late John A. and Mildred Reynolds Toliver. She married the love of her life, Harry L. Odom, in Germany, spending many years together before his passing. Mrs. Odom loved to eat out, spending time with her grandchildren and doing things with her family. Doneta owned and operated her own janitorial business called Odom Janitorial Service, she also served in the United States Army. Doneta is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, one grandson, Kirkland A. Scott; one brother, Walter L. Toliver, and one sister, Sandy Toliver.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Michelle (Keith) Scott, of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren, Cameron Scott, of Augusta, GA and Abigail Scott, of Columbus, GA; three brothers, John Toliver, of French Lick, IN, Michael Toliver, of French Lick, IN, and Danny Toliver, also of French Lick, IN; Doneta also leaves behind her sweet dog, Tanner.
