Donald William Overton, age 59, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Carthage, New York passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Born November 25, 1964 in Carthage, New York, he was the son of the late Dorrance Overton and his living mother, Margaret (Patell) Mandell.
He graduated from Carthage Central High School. Growing up, he played in a band and played football. Later in life, he married Zina Bush and resided in Cape Vincent, New York for many years. Donald worked at Brownville Paper Mill and years late, he and his family moved to Columbus, GA where he worked on Fort Benning as a contractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry, and watching the races.
Survivors include his loving wife, Zina (Bush) Overton; his children, Kaylie Overton, Kassie Overton; his grandchildren, Harlee Rae Overton and Sadee Lin Overton; his brothers, Jerry Overton, Bob Overton; his sister, Roxanne Overton Robinson; and lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
