Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10AM in Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd Columbus, Georgia.

Dixie Smith,85, passed away Monday June 11, 2018 at home in Pine Mountain Georgia. Dixie was born the daughter of Mr & Mrs Clarence Curtis in Colorado Springs, Colorado May 20, 1933. The Curtis’ relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado where Dixie grew up and eventually graduated from Fort Collins High School. Like her mother Dixie had a passion for art and music and she could play the piano. In addition Dixie enjoyed painting, drawing and working with ceramics. She would later move making Columbus, Georgia her home where she began working for the Columbus Police Dept. After many years with the Police dept Dixie moved to the Muscogee County Sheriffs Dept until she retired.

Dixie is survived by her loving family and many friends.
