Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia with a graveside service to follow at Parkhill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

David was born on June 11, 1959 in Panama City, Florida to the late Clara Ward Taylor and Walter B. Taylor. He was married to the late Virginia Murrah Taylor for over thirty years. David was compassionate, giving and loving – and was a sweet and gentle soul. David made friends easily and treasured every friend he made. He treasured his work family at The Cannon Brew Pub where he worked for twenty years, and his friendship with his neighbor Terri. David loved animals, and enjoyed many wonderful years with Lucky, his chocolate lab. He loved Star Trek, and valued his Star Trek collection. David always found the positive in any situation, and always considered himself fortunate to have a loving family and friends. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Walter Taylor, and his wife Virginia Taylor. He is survived by his siblings: Terry Taylor (Nenita), Sandra T. Andrade (Ben), George Taylor (Debra), and Paul Taylor (Kitti), sister-in-law Rebecca Murrah Lovelace, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
