David Luke Gregory

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 2011 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with burial to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Reverend Charles Hays will officiate. The family will receive friends today from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Gregory was born November 4, 1935 in Camilla, GA son of the late Osco Garrett Gregory and Florida Pitts Gregory. He was a retired truck driver with Tom's Foods, a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and a member of Edgewood Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sybil Brinkley Gregory of Columbus, his children, Edwin Daniel Gregory of Columbus, Charles Anthony Gregory (Kathy) of Sharpsburg, GA, Debbie Lynn Johnson (David) of Columbus, Rebecca Faye Albritton (Nathan) of Monroe, GA Bobby Dwayne Gregory (Vicki) of Columbus, Teresa Jane Brock (Jim) of Columbus, 3 sisters, Sally Gregory Howell of Camilla, GA, Mattie Gregory St. John (Irvin) of Tifton, GA, Glenda Gregory Wilbanks of Aiken, SC, 3 brothers, Edward Gregory of Bonaire, GA, Wendell Gregory of Tifton, GA, Harold Gregory of Albany, GA, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
