A memorial service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Solid Rock Church, 6959 Warm Springs Road, Midland, GA, 31820, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Pastor Jay Bailey will be officiating. Private inurnment will be at Chapel of The Pine Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery.
In keeping with the efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, social distancing guidelines will be followed and facemasks will be required.
Cynthia was born November 24, 1968 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Hoy Charles and Alyne Ledbetter Colson. Prior to becoming disabled, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Cynthia loved to go to the movies. Her favorites were Twilight and Star Wars. Cynthia also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially around the swimming pool. Family time was also a very special to Cynthia. She loved to laugh with the kids and grandkids. Cynthia’s love for the Lord was shown through her determination to share devotionals daily.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Colson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nichole Davis (Jason); her son, Wesley Moore (Abigail); four grandchildren, Aiden Moore, Tyler Davis, Magdalene Davis, and Harbor Davis; and three brothers, Jack Colson, Dennis Colson and Charles Colson.
