Clayton Craig

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 7, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the funeral home with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Craig was born January 2, 1931 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Forrest Clayton and Bessie Lorene Tucker Craig. He served for three years in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Craig also worked for the Columbus Police Department for 16 years and retired from the Georgia Department of Labor as a Tax Audit Supervisor after 28 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Craig was preceded in death by his loving wife, Calista, and his son-in-law, Robbie Fine.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Gail Fine; his son, Edward Leo Shecko; his brother, James H. Craig and his wife, Donna; several uncles, aunt, nieces, nephews and faithful friends.
