Charles W. “Billy” Rolling, age 77, resident of Columbus, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus on Friday, May 14, 2010, 11 a.m. with Reverend Watson McKemie officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. Mr. Rolling, son of the late John Henry Rolling and Ruby Odis Hall Rolling, was born June 29, 1932 in Abbeville, AL. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the IBEW Union, #613. Mr. Rolling was an electrician and had worked faithfully at Stuart Electrical for several years before he retired. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bobbie Rolling of Columbus; one son, Charles Rolling, Jr of Columbus; one brother, Tommy Rolling and his wife Gloria of Columbus; three grandchildren, J.T. Rolling, Anna Rolling, and Samantha Rolling; great-grandson, Daylen James Rolling; other relatives and friends.
