Carolyn was born on January 11, 1947, sharing this special day with her twin sister Marilyn Glass Hamby. She is the daughter of the late Valeria Mae Gray Glass and Leester Harrell Glass. Carolyn was an Army wife to the late James Howard Edwards. She was a domestic goddess who loved her family. Carolyn had a passion for decorating her home, a showplace all its own. She enjoyed shopping, reading her Bible and spending time with family and friends. Carolyn was Christian by faith and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Carolyn leaves her loving legacy to be cherished by her daughter, Michelle Garcia and her husband, John; two grandsons, Jared and Trey; her twin sister, Marilyn Glass Hamby and her husband Garry; her sister Cumi Fillion and her husband Stan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Family will visit with friends on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A graveside funeral service will be in Parkhill Cemetery Columbus, Georgia on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
