Brandie Lee Baker, age 38, of Columbus GA, passed away on March 25, 2021. A visitation and service for Brandie will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Brandie was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 26, 1982; the daughter of Larry Carl Harness and Kellie Sue Peterson Holman. She moved to Columbus, GA, graduated from Columbus High School and furthered her education at Georgia Southern and Columbus State University. Brandie’s mom had this neighbor, James, well she introduced them and they were married on November 21, 2005 in Hamilton, GA. She was a fulltime student and member of North Highland Assembly of God. Brandie has a testimony of Jesus Christ as our Savior and she did her best to emulate him by living a Christ like life of selfless service to others, offering hope to those that had no hope, and by seeing people the way Christ would see them, just love, no judgement. She was active at Valley Rescue Mission, there, she worked in retail and was a voice of great encouragement to those that are homeless or battling addictions. Brandie was a shining example of unconditional love, not just to her family but to the people she came in contact in her daily life. She is a strong woman, like most women an incredible multitasker, a military wife, and a solid supporter of the U.S. Military. Yet, with as busy as she was, she would laugh and smile at the seemingly random things that occur every day in our lives that many miss. Brandie was involved in many things, they were nice and she enjoyed them, but nothing compared to the love she has for her family and the opportunity to be a wife to her husband and mother to her three children, they were her world.
