Columbus, GA- Beulah "Mae" King Turner, 96, Of Columbus, GA, went to be with the Lord, March 5, 2014 while in the loving care of Gentiva Hospice. Ms. Mae was born February 17, 1918 in Covington County AL, to the late Noah A. and Etta Payne King, Sr. She lived in Columbus most of her life and was a member of North Highland Assembly of God Church.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 7, 2014 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in Edgewood Hall of Striffler- Hamby, followed by a Committal Service at Parkhill Cemetery, with Rev. Dennis Lacy, Rev Robert French, and Rev Watson McKemie officiating.
Along with her parents, Ms. Turner was preceded in death by two brothers; Thomas A King, Sr., and William E King, both of Columbus, GA, two sisters; Ollie Mae Rainer, and Lois Marie Gaultney, both of Columbus, GA, and two grandchildren; Candi Carlisle and Brad Williams. She is survived by two brothers; Jesse L (Jerry) King, and Noah A(Faye) King, Jr. both of Columbus, GA, and one sister; Darnella (Russ) Walraven of Fortson, GA,three daughters; Judy Ett Turner of Columbus, GA, Inga Turner (Steve) Carlisle of Columbus, GA, and Angela Turner (Carlton) Williams of Cumming, GA, four grandchildren; Keith (Rhonda) Carlisle, Greg (Stacey) Carlisle, Kelli Koelsch, and Doug (Dawn) Williams, and seven great grandchildren; Chance Nellis, Steven Carlisle, Savannah Carlisle, Turner Carlisle, Harris Carlisle, Britney Williams, and Tyler Williams.
