A visitation for family and friends for Betty will be held Monday, January 6, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, followed by A Celebration of Betty's Life at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery.
Betty was born June 1, 1935 in Ellerslie, GA to Mattie Pearl Moore and Joe Ginn. She was a graduate of Baker High School, Baptist by faith and retired as a textile worker from West Point Pepperell. Betty loved life and sharing with her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her furry friends Red Man, Brandy and Tucker. Betty was humble, sweet and meek and taught her children how to live, to be compassionate and how to Love. She was witty, funny and will always be remembered as a wonderful, loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Joe Ginn; mother, Mattie Pearl Moore; and grandson, David Thomason. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Skinner; daughter, Renea Skinner; son, Richard Thomason; sister, Patty LeRue and brother, Drayton Moore; stepson, Ricky Skinner, nieces, Tonya and Terry Moore, nephews, Jeff and Tony Moore and grandson, Chris Skinner; other family members and many friends.
