Betty Crawford, 90, of Columbus, Georgia, entered her heavenly home on August 6, 2023. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at 9:00 am on August 11, 2023 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907, followed by a 10:00 am graveside service at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Betty, originally of Goodwater, Alabama, was a professional singer and known for her beautiful voice. She had a local television show in the early 50’s, as well as a radio show, where viewers and listeners tuned in to hear her sing. When she was not showcasing her voice, she was PTA president and very involved in her children’s school and activities. She was also dedicated to her church, where she sang in the choir as her children were growing up. She was a devoted wife of over 60 years, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Betty is preceded in death by her Husband, William A. Crawford.
Betty is survived by her Children, Dr. Jeff Crawford (Robin) and Kim Branscome (Derick); and Grandchildren, Kelly Crawford, Amy Crawford, and Garrett Branscome.
