Becky C. Long

A memorial service to celebrate Becky’s life will held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 9, 2012 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Dr. Ray Cummings officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Becky was born October 12, 1956 in Columbus, GA, daughter of Pete Crutchfield and the late Polly Giloth Crutchfield. She graduated from Smiths Station High School in 1975 and she and her husband owned Long Buildings. Becky attended Golden Acres Baptist Church, and was a friend to everyone she met. She loved to work in her beautiful gardens creating unique arrangements with many different plants and flowers. Becky was also a loving and caring wife and mother. We will remember her sweet, caring and generous spirit, but her memory will live forever in our hearts.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Mike Long of Smiths Station, AL; her two children, Carolyn Sheley and her husband, Jason of Columbus, GA and Michael Robert “Robbie” Long of Smiths Station, AL; her father, Pete Crutchfield of Smiths Station, AL; three sisters, Candy Langford (Jack) of Columbus, GA, Penny Greer of Smiths Station, AL, and Bobbie O’Neal (Tommy) of Smiths Station, AL; mother-in-law, Jeanine Long of Smiths Station, AL; three aunts, Dona Mandeville (Dean), Dottie Crutchfield, and Thelma Kells; 10 nieces and nephews between the Crutchfield and Long families.
