Barbara was born in Honolulu, HI on September 11, 1955 to Phyllis and Edward Yulo, Jr. The family moved to Ft, Benning, Ga in 1962 and moved to Columbus in 1968 where she attended Columbus High School.
After graduation, Barbara worked as a medical office assistant in Ft. Benning, Kansas City, KS and Aurora, CO. She moved back to Columbus in 1994 and worked as a medical transcriptionist and then a Walmart associate.
Barbara enjoyed reading and watching old movies. She also loved spending time with children, whether at her church where she volunteered in the nursery or at home with her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Barbara was very involved with St. Anne Community Outreach. She and her mother enjoyed volunteering together to serve families in their community.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Edward Yulo, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Yulo; three brothers Tony Yulo (Tinh), Michael Yulo (Kristine), and Tom Yulo (Susan); her sister Rosie Cox and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her longtime neighbor, Yvette Cody, and her daughter, Ciara Holland, for their devoted friendship and help throughout the years. They would also like to extend special thanks to her caregiver and friend for the last 4 years, Verseca Burtin, and her family.
Services will be held privately with her immediate family at a later date.
