Barbara Jean Busby Williams

Funeral services for Ms. Williams will be 10:00 AM, on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, with Minister Doug Haught officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.

Visitation for Ms. Williams will be from 6-8 PM, on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the funeral home.

Ms. Williams was born on December 30, 1953 in Colquitt, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Laura Busby. Ms. Williams was a member of Beattie Road Church of Christ, she was employed with the Georgia Department of Revenue for 29 years. And was a graduate of Darton College, Albany, Georgia where she received her Associates Degree. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and cooking, especially for her family and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her father; Daniel H. Busby of Albany, GA, her fiancé; Robert Daniel Wilson, Sr., of Columbus, GA, three children; Phillip E. Williams, Jr. and his wife Carla of Sumner, GA, Stephanie W. Patterson and her husband Greg of Scooterville, GA, and Matthew L. Williams and his wife Shantelle, of Lenox, GA, eight grandchildren; Cole Patterson, Seth Williams, Hayden Williams, Callie Patterson, Mallory Williams, Shannon Elise Wilson, Jesseca Martin, and Kevin Dinsmore, two brothers; Charles Boyd Busby and his wife Laura, and David Busby both of Albany, GA.

The employees of the Georgia Department of Revenue Columbus and Albany office will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
