Barbara Nell Rayburn, age 90, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Barbara was born in Phenix City, Alabama. A graveside service for Barbara will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907
Barbara was born in Phenix City, AL on October 11, 1933. Barbara moved with her parents St. Elmo and Nell Wood to Columbus as a baby. She spent her childhood in Columbus and much of her adult life raising her two children in Atlanta, Ga. After returning to Columbus she had a short career at AFLAC.
She most loved spending time with her family and many friends. Barbara was the beloved mother of two, Grandmother of four and Great Grandmother of eight. She will long be remembered as an active, fun playmate for her grands. Barbara was a faithful encourager and supporter for every member of her family. She was a long time active member of Evangel Temple.

Barbara is preceded in death by: her Mother, Nell Arlene Wood: Father, Saint Elmo Wood; Brother, Jerry Wallace Wood; and Son, Michael Eugene Parkerson.
Survivors include: her Spouse, James Dallas Rayburn; Brother, Ronnie Wood; Daughter, Deborah Parkerson Ezell; Spouse, James Crawford Ezell JR.; Grandson, James Crawford Ezell III, Spouse, Alexandria Jones Ezell, their children, Olivia Katherine Ezell, James Crawford Ezell IV; Granddaughter, Lauren Ezell Kinlaw, Spouse, Dennis Franklin Kinlaw, their children, Arden Blake Kinlaw, Eleanor June Kinlaw; Granddaughter, Michelle Renee Brinton, Spouse, Aaron Wade Brinton, their child, Parker Wade Brinton; Grandson, Michael Joseph Parkerson, Spouse, Waverley Knowles Parkerson, their children, Madilyn Reese Parkerson, and Cameron Brooks Parkerson.
