Barbara S. Perryman

Barbara Sharon Sailer Prettyman, age 81, passed away on January 19, 2018. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Chapel of the Pines, in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will have a visitation from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary and then travel together up to the Chapel of the Pines.

Barbara was born on July 18, 1942, the daughter of George W. Sailers and Hilda M. Nichols Sailers. Barbara was raised and attended schools in Columbus, GA, including Columbus State University. She was married to Billy M. Perryman for 26 years before his passing in 2011. She worked as an office manager at Dr. Lloyd Sampson’s office and later worked and then retired from the Superior Court clerk’s office. Barbara loved the lake and the beaches.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two sons, Jeffrey Raymond Slay and Thomas Keith Slay. Survivors include: Jeffrey (Hanna) Slay; a daughter-in-law Lauren Knox; and two grandsons, Griffin Slay and Ben Knox.
