Barbara Ann (Attaway) Hays

Barbara Ann (Attaway) Hays, 83, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away peacefully at Magnolia Manor on October 02, 2023. Barbara, originally of Joliet, Illinois, was in the graduating class of 1957 at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ohio and attended Miami University of Ohio. After college, she worked in Real Estate as Relocation Director for 25 years, primarily with Joe Walker Century 21.

Barbara raised her family, and lived most of her adult life, in Columbus, Ohio. She did volunteer work for various charities, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She loved traveling with friends and going to the movies and was a passionate fan of Ohio State football. After retiring in 2004, she moved to Columbus, Georgia to spend time with, and help care for, her newest grandchildren and enjoy the warmer climate. She liked to stay active with walks to the local park. Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by her Sons, David Wesley (Joann) Hays and Thomas (Hayley) Hays; Grandchildren, Chelsea, Hayden, Lauren and Nate Hays; Sister, Carole (Matt) Caprario; and Nephews, Steven and Richard Caprario.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Eugene Edward and Gertrude Elizabeth Attaway; and Brother, Eugene Grant Attaway.

Barbara will be laid to rest in Joliet, Illinois with a private family ceremony.
