Barbara Ann Deriso-Lowe, age 72, of Columbus, GA passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at home. Born March 23, 1951 in Americus, GA, she was the daughter of the late Horace Alonzo and Emily (Green) Deriso.
As a military dependent, Barbara graduated from Kaiserslautern Americus High School on June 6, 1969. After returning to GA, she retired as a legal secretary around spring of 2022. Barbara was a movie and T.V. buff and she was also the biggest Yellow Stone fan ever.
Survivors include her brother, Barbara A. Deriso of Cataula, GA; her brother -in-law, Roger Yeadon Acworth, GA; her nephew, David Yeadon Deriso of Destin, FL; and her grandniece, Kyla McDaniel of Ladonia, AL. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Yeadon and her brother, Danny W. Deriso.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Edgewood Hall, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 2:00PM. Rev. Mike Reeves will be officiating services. Family will visit with friends an hour prior. Burial will follow chapel service at Parkhill Cemetery.
