Annie Sue Lunsford passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 93, after a brief illness. She was born Annie Sue Shelley on March 11, 1930, in Henry County, Alabama to Ester and Marvin Shelley. She was one of eight children and is survived by her brothers, Billy Shelley of Headland, AL, and Mally Shelley of Decatur, AL.
Annie Sue married her husband, William Jordan Lunsford (Bill) in 1948 and enjoyed a loving 50 year marriage before he passed away in 1998. They had three children, Virginia Gale Britt, Debra Ann Lane (Stan), and William Jeffrey Lunsford (Susan). She had 5 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Sue and Bill were the founders and owners of Rose Hill Seafood, Inc., in Columbus, GA. She was a long-time member of Britt David Baptist Church in Columbus.
Final services will be held in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm, following a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to Britt David Baptist Church, 2801 West Britt David Road, Columbus, GA.
