Anita "Sue" Ford

Fortson , Georgia- Anita "Sue" Thomason Ford, age 61, resident of Fortson, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby Columbus, Friday, September 12, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Ford, daughter of the late Roy Thomason and Jewell Lawson Thomason, was born November 16, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a Pharmacy Systems Coordinator for Columbus Regional Medical Center for 28 years. Mrs. Ford was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she loved her church family dearly. She loved to travel, go to the beach and always had an open door to her home for friends and family, especially her close circle of friends. Mrs. Ford had five grandchildren who called her "Nana" that were the center of her life.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Kenneth Ford; sisters, Shirley Judah, Carol McGill and Nadine Thomason. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Reed (Mike), Lindsay Bynum (David); grandchildren, Hannah Reed, Bailey Bynum, Katie Reed, Chloe Bynum, Alli Bynum; and sister, Judy Barentine.
