A visitation for family and friends for Drew will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM followed by a reception and Celebration of Life to share the love and memories of Drew.
God has wrapped his arms around and taken Drew to his everlasting home in heaven. To cherish the memories, he leaves his 2 beautiful daughters, Ainsley and Emree Ann, his mother, Martha Jane, his brother, Larry (Tina), and Emree Ann’s mother, Jessica. Also, his niece, Emily, and nephew, Stephen, and the 3 little ones, Aedan, Addisyn, and Austin. Last, but not least, his shih-tzu, Breck.
Baseball was his first love. His fun, loving, and sweet nature captured the hearts of many team-mates and friends. His baseball career began at Northern Little League and continued on to Shaw High School where he received a baseball scholarship to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He then returned home to Columbus State University, where he finished out his baseball career.
As a young kid, his Aunt Paula introduced him to Alabama Football and it has been Roll Tide ever since. He loved cooking and gathering with family and friends for the games.
Drew was without a doubt an amazing, loving father to his 2 girls. There was nothing he would not do for them.
Drew was employed for many years at Caterpillar, Inc, now known as Weiler.
