Amanda V. Bailey, age 61, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020. A Graveside Celebration of Amanda's Life will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907.
Amanda was born March 3, 1959 in Thomaston, Georgia to Vera Doris Carpenter Nix and Dewey Howard Nix. Amanda was disabled after many years as a Beautician in the Jordan Shopping center. She was a Christian and faithful member of Living Way Four Square Church. Amanda love to listen to Christian music, read her Bible and Livestream Church Services. She taught others to have faith, to live a Christian life, be kind and to endure. She enjoyed life and laughed while listening to a good joke from her brother. Amanda will forever be remember for the love of her family and living a faith filled Christian Life.
Amanda is survived by her brother, Leonard Nix (Carolyn), and sister, Veronica Dickerson; grandchild, Keith Sessions; other family members and many friends to cherish her memory.
Amanda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bailey; father, Dewey Howard Nix; mother, Vera Doris Carpenter Nix; daughters, Candice Bailey and Crystal Haas; son, Jonathan Bailey; brothers Donald Nix and Stacey Nix.
