Allen Parham, age 75, of Columbus, GA died peacefully on June 26, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Church. Family will receive visitors prior to the service in Stockwell Hall at St. Luke Church beginning at 10:00 AM.
Allen was born on December 1, 1946 in Columbus, GA and is the son of the late Nicholas Walton and Doris Thomas Parham. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1965 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in marketing from West GA College. Allen worked for Tom’s Foods before he began his career in real estate.
Allen was in the real estate business for 49 years. He held several designations and chaired many real estate committees. He was a local and state director as well as treasurer of the Columbus Board of Realtors. He was a past president of the Columbus Board of Realtors, Realtor of the Year in 2004, and a life member of the Board’s Circle of Excellence since 1983. He was the managing broker and co-owner of Bickerstaff Parham Real Estate at the time of his death.
Allen has also served on the Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society and is a lifetime member of St. Luke Church.
Allen took great pride in his family which includes his loving wife who he was married to for almost 32 years, his 3 children and 4 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Denise Posey Parham, his daughter Juliet McCarley (Robert), his son Allen Parham II (Katie) Woodbury, GA; and his four grandchildren: Bradley, Miller, Mitchell, and Ware as well as his siblings Glenn Parham, Fort Mojave, AZ; and Ann Parham (Gary) Alexandria, VA.
Flowers will be accepted but memorial donations can be made to St. Luke Church 1104 2nd Ave, Columbus, GA or Columbus Hospice House 7020 Moon Rd, Columbus, GA.
