I worked for Dr. Lindler and Jeannie as a Nanny when The first 2 children were very young... Isle of Palms vacation was the best ... I am truly sorry to hear that he passed.... my prayers go out to his family 😢🙏🏼🕊💙🦋🌈

Amid the sounds of rolling surf,

And like the sea, you always gave, 
  From what seemed like an endless store:  
Of care and wisdom, gifts that saved
  Us all and carried us to shore.  

 The warmth of Carolina sands, 
  So like the sun within your smile; 
The force and love within your hands,

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.  I worked in the same building as Dr Lindler at the DDS.  It was always a pleasure to run into him in the halls.  He was always friendly and welcoming.    I was saddened to hear of his passing,  he was a kind good man and I know he will be missed by so many.    Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Jeannie and family, I am so very saddened by your loss. Bill was well-loved and admired by so many friends and colleagues! I had the pleasure of working with him closely over the past decade and was always inspired by his deep thinking, drive to learn, and willingness to share his great knowledge and insight. Bill truly cared about those around him and was sincerely interested in the lives of those with whom he came in contact. He was quick with a joke or some thoughtful advice, and went out of his way to let people know that he was there for him. He  spent his life striving toward developing and sustaining meaningful relationships. He was a life-long learner and was always inquisitive, always seeking growth. He spoke to me often of his family and the great sense of personal motivation & joy that they brought to him. Bill was a giver. Through his giving and wisdom, he has left a hearty legacy of a strong, beautiful, and well-nurtured family, which is his testament to a life well-lived.  May God's peace be among you and may your lives continue to blossom knowing that Bill loved you deeply and unwaveringly.
 

My condolences.  Jeanne, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Steve and I always enjoyed seeing you and Bill at medical functions.  

 I only knew Dr. Lindler  professionally as another obstetrician but for some reason after I came back to Columbia in 1982 Bill  Consulted me frequently and was one of the most friendly and fun loving physiciansI have ever worked with.  His patients adored him and he treated them with the upmost respect and professionalism that I have ever witnessed . The Midlands will surely miss this man for he was a shining example of Respect and personality.

I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of his death. William had such a keen intellect and was so interested in what was happening in World Affairs.Larry and I had so many wonderful  conversations  with  him and Jeannie through the years. He will be greatly missed. 
My heart goes out to Jeannie, Jessen,Keller, Greta and his  extended family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Jim and I have known Jeannie and Bill for many years. We were in the Columbia medical community for thirty two years. All I can say is a picture says a thousand words. When I look at his photo I remember a funny, storytelling,, knowledgeable guy. He was very approachable and sincere. We will miss you. God bless Jeannie, Jessen, Keller and Greta. We love you and pray for you.

I first met Bill when I was a young military Ob-Gyn at Fort Jackson in 1985 and he was in private practice.  I remember him as being so kind, down to earth, funny, and so respectful and fond of our military patients.  He was easy to bond with, and when one spoke with him, Bill was always genuinely interested in how you were doing, always reassuring and caring.  I am sure his many patients loved him. Shocked and saddened by this sudden loss of a longtime friend and wonderful partner to Jeannie, father to Jessen, Keller and Margaret, brother to Charlotte and Claude and friend to all who knew him. Wear your Hawaiian 🌺 shirts after services to celebrate his life, well lived though cut short. 

With loving prayers to all his family as they deal with the shock of his sudden loss.
