William James Leggett

COLUMBIA A funeral service for William James Leggett, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Leggett passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. Born in Queens, NY on October 16, 1964, he was a son of Nancy Annette Murray Leggett and the late Gerald Allen Leggett.

Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife, Laura Leggett of Columbia; son, Alan Costanza of Pennsylvania; daughter, Brittany Costanza of Pennsylvania; brother, Steve Leggett (Joanna) of Pennsylvania; sisters, Kathy Lafferty (Roy) and Connie Leggett (Jason Willey) both of Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

William joined The United States Airforce February 1984, and retired a Veteran, February 2015. He served several deployments in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
