Funeral Services will be held Noon on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Greenlawn Baptist Church with Reverend Marion Aldridge officiating. A private family burial will be held at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Wanda was born in Anniston, Alabama to the late Allieburg “Pete” Williams and Eunice Davis Williams.
Wanda graduated from Lower Richland High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina in 1986. She also served 5 years in the Army Reserves and retired from Fort Jackson after 33 years of civil service. Wanda became a Registered Nurse after retirement until 2015. She was an accomplished pianist and played in church for 68 years.
She is survived by her sons, David Asbill; Reuben Asbill (Dee Dee); her grandchildren, Eric, Chelsea, Clayton, Joshua, Christian, Aaron, and Deanna Asbill; and her great-grandchildren, Kayden and Alice; her sister Kathleen Varnadore (Ronnie) and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss her dearly.
