Theresa Mosier Merritt

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Theresa Mosier Merritt, 60, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Merritt died Thursday, June 30, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Donald Mosier and Anita Stoner Mosier. She was also a 1980 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School. She was a beloved member of the Dorn VA Hospital staff for 18 years until she retired in 2006. She had a passion for adventure; she and her husband Mike enjoyed traveling, spending time with her friends, following Gamecock football, and playing with her dogs, Rosie and Cha-Cha. She was a member of Radius Church - Southside.

Teri was blessed to be loved and will be missed by so many including her husband and best friend, Michael Merritt; son, Stephen Starling (Whitney); daughter, Courtney Starling (Bryan Blitch); Stepchildren, Jason Merritt (Melinda) and Julie Merritt; sister, Stephanie Turner (Johnson); brothers, Ryan Mosier and Mark Mosier (Jessica); grandchildren, Eliza, Henry, and Mary Pinckney; and several loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of her nephew John Lucsko, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
