LEESVILLE – A funeral service for Sue Rister Davis, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Beulah Baptist Church, 879 Beulah Church Rd., Leesville, SC 29070 with interment in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born August 17, 1928 in Swansea, SC and passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. She was a daughter of the late John Gary Rister and Maedell Lucas Rister. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she was in the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. She loved to cook, garden and fish. Her greatest love was being surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Janet D Phillips (Bobby), Chuck Davis (Althea) and Brian Davis (Glenda) sister, Evelyn Summer; grandchildren, Henry, Vickie, Tracy, Carrie, Melanie, Bret and Billy; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her grandsons, Johnny and Jesse; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Elmwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service are assisting the family with arrangements.
