In June of 1945, she married the love of her life, James Sullivan. Together they enjoyed playing cards, traveling in their RV and cheering on Florida State sports. She enjoyed being pampered with a manicure and getting her hair done. Most importantly, she always treasured her time spent with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday March 27, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home – Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include her husband of 77 years, James V. Sullivan; three children, Jim Sullivan (Susan-predeceased), Gary Sullivan (Helen), Doreen Lewis (John); eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
