Shirley Pittman Pagett

A funeral service for Shirley Pittman Pagett, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Augusta Street Church, 603 Augusta St, West Columbia, SC, with burial in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Pagett died Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Born in Athens, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Dalton Pittman and Nellie Burroughs Pittman. A graduate of Columbia High School, she worked for McCain Financial Group as an administrative assistant until she retired. She attended Temple Baptist Church. Shirley loved scrapbooking, sewing, and crafting. She also loved animals, especially Sparky.

Surviving are her daughter, Laura Buff Graham (Roger), her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hix Pagett, Jr.; son, Thomas Benjamin Buff, Jr.; and brothers, William Oscar Pittman and Jerry P. Pittman.
