Sharon Kay Jenkins

A funeral service for Sharon Kay Jenkins, 59, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Jenkins died Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Born on February 22, 1957 in Columbia, she was a daughter of Nell Cooper Jenkins and the late William Radcliffe Jenkins.

She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in West Columbia and was retired from the Federal Government as a service claims representative. She loved animals and was known for being a good Christian.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her sisters, Deborah Hoats (Irvin) of Hampton and Valerie J. Price (Buddy) of West Columbia; nieces, Michelle Hoats and Amanda DeLoach; nephew, Darryl Hoats; great-niece and great-nephews, Trenton DeLoach, William Koon, Brandon DeLoach, and Kaylee DeLoach; longtime companion, Warren Holcombe; and dog, Koby.
