Born in Bruceton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Alonzo Smith and Emma Seiber Smith. He attended Bruceton, Tennessee schools and retired from Richland County Public Works. Robert enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fixing up old things. Most of all, he loved his family.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Smith; son, Kevin Lee Smith (Tresa); and sister, Pat Hall.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel.
