Robert Eugene Bradshaw Sr.

West Columbia, SC - Robert “Bob” Eugene Bradshaw, Sr., 79, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Born in St. Louis, MO and raised in Flat River, MO, Bob was a veteran of the US Navy and relocated to Columbia, SC in 1979. He was a long time employee of Ingersoll Rand and Kahn Development Company. A jack of all trades, Mr. Bob was always there to help when called upon.

He was predeceased by his parents, Estelle Griffin and Johnny Bradshaw; brother, Dale Stricklin; sister, Shirley Owens; and beloved daughter, Carla Eubank (Tom). He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Cecelia; sister, Charlotte Cobb (Randy); daughters Christine Charlton (Scott), Catherine Taylor (Matthew), Caryn Pumphrey (Todd); and sons Robert, Jr. (Regina) and Richard (Rashele), as well as 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and his much loved and spoiled dogs, Bitsy, Kirby, and Jake.

A rosary for Bob will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 5:30 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, 3926 Devine Street, Columbia; visitation will follow from 6 to 7:30 pm. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3600 Devine Street, Columbia.

Bob bravely fought cholangiocarcinoma for the past two years. The family would like to thank the staffs of MUSC Gastroenterology and Lexington Oncology for their care and give a special thank you to the staff of 4th floor South Tower of Lexington Medical Center for caring for Bob and his family in his last days. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
