Richard was a H.S. graduate with the Class of 1961.   He will always be missed by those who are still living.    He was always willing to help with our class reunions.   He loved being with old classmates and talking about old times.   We miss him and his wife, Bobbie.  Love to the family.    Mary (Tincy) Swink Harmon

My wife and I hadn't yet closed on the house across the street, but on one of our first visits there we met Mr. Moseley as he walked over to deliver us a pecan pie and a welcome to the neighborhood. When I accidentally burned down our shed within a week of moving in, he just smiled, shook his head, and said "it happens." He was a wonderful man, one that made our neighborhood feel like home, and he will be greatly missed. My wife and I watch as the family collects at the Moseley house every week, even more since he has passed, and we talk often of how we could aspire to nothing greater than that which Mr. and Mrs. Moseley have built in their little corner of the world. 

So sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. We went in together on building a few rental houses and he did an excellent job. He was also very fair and professional with me. I also remember his “grilled” pecan pies and honey he would bring around Christmas. Praying for you all! 

i remember the time uncle Dick wired up his bird feeder to shock the squirrels eating the bird seed while he watched from the window. 

i remember when we all had our plates hearing, “you know it’s good when everybody shuts up and eats”. 

after enough discussion of how to tackle some problem, i remember hearing, “well...ain’t but one way to find out.”

during a particularly hard time for me, i remember Dick saying, “some things ya don’t get over. you just kinda learn to live with ‘em”. 

(that last one is true, for sure.)

now, i hope i can remember to laugh, love and take care of folks like uncle Dick did. 

aunt Bobbie and all of the Moseley clan are just wonderful people. i hope that in time they will remember uncle Dick with more smiles and laughs than tears. 

I’ve known Dick for over 10 years when I first moved to Columbia and rented one of his houses. He started as my landlord but quickly became a good friend to me. I’m going to miss our “quick” stop-ins that turned into long talks about anything and everything and exchanging baked goods at Christmas! Our lives are a little less bright now with his passing.

I was supposed to take care of him but instead he took care of me.  My prayers go out to the entire Moseley family.  He was larger than life and had the biggest heart.  I thank you for sharing him with me.  

So sorry for your loss. Prayers for all of you during the difficult days ahead. We will miss the desserts that he would share with us and his kind spirit that brought joy whenever he was around.

The employees of Capital Supply of Columbia were saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Moseley.  He was a long time customer and friend to us and he will truly be missed.   Although as the years went by we may have not seen him at the store near as much we always knew come Christmas we would be getting two homemade pecan pies, we will miss that this year, but never forget.  Our thoughts are with Dickie and the whole family at this time.

I am so sorry to  hear of the families loss.  Dick and Bobbie were always very kind and gracious to me especially when including me in their family gatherings. Yes, he was a wonderful baker of pies. Great on the grill also.  Carol was definetly Daddy’s little girl and he was her everything.  Keeping  all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this time.  Rest In Peace Dick.



Mr. Moseley was a father figure to me when I was growing up in Forest Acres. He was a hard working man, and loved his wife Mrs. Bobbie, and his children so much. He will be missed. Rest peacefully Mr. Moseley. 

You were the best friend I have had for 55 years , I  am missing  you  very  much .  May  God  use  your  skills  as  much  as  i  did ,  now  may   you  rest  in  peace.

I'm in shock over the passing of our friend, Dick Moseley.  As a former classmate of his at Lower Richland High School, I can say that those of us that graduated with him, are sorry to hear of his sudden death.   He was always a caring person & enjoyed our class reunions.  We will miss you Dick.

The Christofaro family is so sorry to hear about Mr. Moseley!  He was such a kind man!  He always spoke to people, and enjoyed a good laugh.  I got to know him better during Carol’s knee surgery.  Carol was definitely daddy’s girl! Colby loved to go visit with Leanna and eat Grandaddy’s famous pie!  We are praying for your family! 

My most sincere condolences.  Dick was a great guy!  Quick witted, extremely smart and always fun to be around.  Brewed great beer and made the best pecan pie I've ever tasted.  I hope he's out running and playing with "Copper" right now.  Rest in peace old friend.....
