COLUMBIA – My father, Ralph Anderson, went to sleep in Christ on May 13, 2021. His life had been purchased by the blood of Jesus and his eternity with The Lord was secured. His adoption is complete, his righteousness is now perfected and his fellowship with the Saints forever has begun.
Ralph C. Anderson was the husband of Norma Anderson for 57 years. Born in Horry County, July 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Sam “Bud” and Gussie Anderson.
He received his B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina and attended law school. He was a veteran of World War II, surviving Europe, and was a retired United States Air Force officer. He also retired from General Motors Corporation.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the Retired Officers Association, the Military Order of World Wars, the Fort Jackson Officers Club and a life member of Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He was a golfer and member of Fort Jackson Golf Club. He was a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church and a former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Clif and Sherry Anderson; son-in-law, Ron Neuberg; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Norma, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Neuberg.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. There will be a livestream of the service starting at 11:00 a.m. Monday on Dunbar Funeral Home – Devine’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/DunbarDevine. A brief visitation will follow the service, with burial at 5:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown, S.C.
